Grief is something we all experience, yet it's often met with silence, discomfort, or unrealistic expectations to "move on." In this 30-minute presentation, we'll explore why grief is so misunderstood, how the stigma surrounding loss impacts healing, and what we can do to create more compassion for ourselves and others. Whether you're grieving, supporting someone through loss, or simply want to better understand the grief journey, you'll leave with practical insights and a new perspective on healing.

Trauma… what it really is. All too often, we think we know what causes a traumatic reaction. We are often mistaken. Trauma is part of our lives more than we realize and does not always mean it has to result in the “Hollywood definition”, as it does not. My purpose is to educate, support and encourage those who have trauma in their lives to understand it better so healing can happen.

Body dysmorphia and negative body image affect millions of people, yet they’re often misunderstood or dismissed as simply “low self-esteem.”
In this presentation, we’ll explore the differences between body dissatisfaction, negative body image, and body dysmorphia, how different factors and life experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, and why these struggles have little to do with vanity.
Through storytelling, real-life examples, and evidence-based education, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the psychological factors involved, learn warning signs to watch for, and leave with practical strategies to build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with your body.
